3 Natural Beauty Secrets for Healthy Eyes, Skin and More

Natural Beauty Secrets

Today, eco-friendly manufacturers provide natural beauty and organic products that are so much safer than many of the conventional toxic beauty products that can cause much harm your skin and health. You can also choose to take care of your eyes and skin with the DIY products that you already have in your home.

 1. Use Coconut Oil as Eye Makeup Remover and More

Coconut oil has recently burst onto the beauty scene and has appeared in countless beauty blogs and magazines. But did you know you can use it for oil pulling which is an ancient form of Ayurvedic medicine. Not only will help give you a brighter smile, but is is great for your oral health, helps detox your body, and removes harmful bacteria.

Using Coconut for Oil Pulling

First thing in the morning  I take approximately 1 tablespoon of organic coconut oil and put it in mouth for about 20 minutes while swishing it around so that it is cleaning my teeth, removing toxins, bacteria, and improving my all over health. I spit it out in a jar (or use a trash can) and then rinse my mouth out with salt water to rinse out all the impurities and cleanse my mouth. Check out all the health benefits and recommendations @ draxe.com/oil-pulling-coconut-oil   and Dr Merocla’s oil-pulling-coconut-oil.

You can also use it coconut nut oil as a natural alternative to chemical-ridden makeup removers?

Easy Peasy Organic recommends swiping a bit of organic virgin coconut oil onto am organic cotton ball or soft cloth to gently remove eye makeup and mascara from your eyes. Be careful not to get the coconut oil in your eyes and rather focus on applying the oil to your eyelids. Rinse off the coconut oil with cool water and pat dry with a fresh towel.

Organic coconut oil is also a great moisturizer for the whole body. I use it regularly to soothe and moisture dry skin by applying to my skin after taking a shower. I love how soft and subtle it makes my skin feel and best of all no more dry itchy skin.

You can find organic virgin coconut oil at most Trader Joe’s grocery stores. If your don’t have a Trader Joe’s near you check out Costco’s which is where I purchase my organic virgin coconut oil in bulk at very inexpensive price.

2. Refresh Your Skin With a DIY Honey Mask

You can mix the same antioxidant-rich green tea that you drink with a hint of raw honey to make a refreshing facial mask. The honey works as a deep cleaner and helps to remove pollutants while purifying your face’s sensitive skin. Meanwhile, the green tea acts as an effective, yet gentle, toner for your skin.

  • After the mask has cooled, use your hands to smooth the mixture onto your face.
  • Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Wash it all off with warm water and pat dry.

Really Raw Honey, a family-owned beekeeping operation in Baltimore, Maryland, offers both small and large jars of raw honey that can be purchased directly from their website.  Another great option is to check your local area for locally harvested raw honey.

3. Hydrate Your Skin With Juice Beauty Products

Many beauty products on the market contain a host of chemical ingredients such as parabens, petroleum, propylene, sodium lauryl sulfates, pesticides, artificial dyes and butylene glycol. Wouldn’t you rather know what you’re putting on your skin?  One great company I am aware of that is made entirely of authentic, organic formulas, Juice Beauty’s lineup of beauty protects allow people to naturally care for their skin. With ingredients like natural lemon juice, shea butters, organic aloe leaf, jojoba, algae, licorice roof, avocado oil and white tea leaf, you’ll always know what you’re putting on your skin.

If you suffer from dry skin, use the Juice Beauty Nutrient Moisturizer, which replenishes and hydrates your skin plant oils, vitamin antioxidants and calming botanicals for ageless, healthy-looking skin. Juice Beauty recommends using the moisturizer daily and suggests applying a small amount to your face, neck and chest. You can purchase the Nutrient Moisturizer and browse other organic beauty products by visiting JuiceBeauty.com.

Whether you choose to make your own DIY beauty products or purchase them from a reputable company make sure you read labels very carefully to be sure that all ingredients are safe, organic or truly natural. Make sure you know what you are putting on and in your body because your health depends on it!
