5 Honey Beauty Recipes to Try at Home

Don’t you just wish you had smooth and silky skin to flaunt? There are a lot of things that can prevent you from doing that—pollutants in the environment that trigger acne and breakouts, skin dryness or oiliness, work-related stress that cause signs of skin aging, and many more.

Good thing there’s honey to blast all these problems away. As a natural humectant, moisturizer, antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory, honey can easily resolve most of the skin issues that have been bothering you for quite some time. It can tame acne flare-ups, get rid of blemishes, cleanse and remove impurities, and keep the skin looking young and fresh.

Honey has the following health benefits, vitamins and minerals:

  • Vitamin B1 – promotes proper skin functioning
  • Vitamin B2 – wards off free radicals that cause premature signs of aging
  • Vitamin B3 – acts as an anti-inflammatory that reduces acne and skin inflammations
  • Vitamin B6 – promotes formation of skin cells and moisturizes the skin
  • Vitamin C – alleviates skin dryness and promotes production of skin collagen
  • Zinc – slows down the aging process by combating the harmful effects of free radicals

Antioxidants such as flavonoids and polyphenols – destroy free radicals and help slow down skin aging
Amazing, right?

So what are we waiting for?
