I started using flax seeds last summer after I bought a dehydrator. They’re great for making the awesome raw “crackers” (more like chips, but tasty!) I’ve used them as eggs substitute too. My family has a difficult time with the gelatinous properties of flax and chia but it doesn’t bother me since the finished form is very different. Thanks for linking to Tapas Tuesday…great list 🙂
Thanks Lydia, Thanks for reading my article and commenting. The raw crackers sound great. Glad to be part of Tapas Tuesday. Have a wonderful healthy day! Marla

Costco just started carrying organic chia seeds. Should I get the organic or is regular fine?
Hi Barb, I feel that organic is a better choice. I know that normally they don’t use pesticides on chia seeds, but there is always cross-contamination and other handling problems to consider. So I always choose organic chia seeds or in any food when ever possible, when I buy them. I know that Costco has them at a great price too. Thanks for reading my article and commenting. Have a wonderful healthy day.
