Essential oils are made from herbs and fruit. They are concentrated and can be used in very small amounts to help with various illnesses or health concerns. Among those concerns are the decline in glow for a woman’s skin as she ages, gets stressed or spends too much time in the sun.
Treating skin imperfections goes a long way toward helping the skin get back to a youthful smoothness and looking healthy and glowing. These oils can help the body deal with issues that arise and replace imperfections with healthy and smooth skin again.
1. Lavender Oil
This oil is one that is always good to have in stock. It has a lot of benefits for use. Lavender is commonly known for its relaxing properties. This can be beneficial to your skin as well. However, the big benefits for your skin are its anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and its ability to stop the oil that causes infection and therefore draws the glow from your skin.
2. Tea Tree Oil
This oil has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal benefits. It also treats oily and sensitive skin as well as some over-the-counter medications. Tea Tree oil can be used to soothe burns and treat cuts as well as to deal with acne.
3. Lemongrass Oil
Lemongrass Oil helps skin detoxify and regenerate. It also works well to help minimize pores and as an astringent.
4. Carrot Seed Oil
This oil helps with dry and sun-damaged skin. It brings the glow back to dry skin and also helps balance out oily skin, making it a tool that can be used against both skin issues.
5. Monoi Oil
Monoi Oil has long been used to help treat skin. It purifies and smooths skin, allowing that glow to return naturally. It comes from a plant in Tahiti.
6. Rosewood Oil
This oil can be used for dry skin or skin that is showing age with wrinkles or other clear signs. This oil then helps the skin return to a smoother, younger look with that healthy glow women prefer.
7. Geranium Oil
Geranium Oil can be used to treat oily and sensitive skin. The oil treats acne and inflammation, reduces stress and cuts down on acne that way and also improves circulation throughout the body. This also helps the skin deal with infection and issues that lead to losing the glow. Healthy skin can return.
8. Cannabis
Surprisingly, there is increasing evidence that cannabis helps clear up skin conditions and keeps the skin clear and glowing with a healthy tone. CBD and THC, compounds present in different levels of both marijuana and hemp (different types of the Cannabis Sativa plant), are used in widely available creams.
When it comes to cannabis oil vs CBD and what you need to know is their difference. Generally, cannabis oil has a much higher concentration of THC which is the psychoactive component of the cannabis plant. CBD does not produce a “high” like marijuana, but does provide many health benefits in addition to being an effective natural skin care product.
Hi Marla,
I am a big fan of herbal oils, in fact, I have used organic oils on my skin for years instead of commercial skin creams. Thank you for sharing these healthy herbal oils that can make your skin glow at the Healthy Happy Green and Natural Party Blog Hop. I’m pinning and sharing.
HI Deborah,
I am also a big fan of essentials oil for many uses in and on my body and in my house. Glad to be part of HHG&N blog hop and thanks for hosting this wonderful party and sharing my articles.
What an interesting article. There are a few oils I didn’t know about till I read this. I need to go and do a little research on my own, before I try new oils. I’m sensitive to aroma and need to be careful about what I use. I will pin this for future reference and sao others might benefit from your knowledge.
Hi Nancy,
I am very sensitive to aromas and even the most pure oils can cause me to reaction. For instance I cannot tolerate geranium oil or the geranium flowers itself cause me to itch and react immediately. I never plant the annual geranium flowers even though they are beautiful because I cannot tolerate being around them. I have learned in the last years that there are many oils and herbs out there that I was not aware of either that have many healing powers. Thanks so much for stopping by, commenting by, commenting and sharing my article. Have a healthy, happy & blessed weekend!
