How to Incorporate Natural Oils Into Your Beauty Routine
Of course you always want to look your best, but simultaneously having clear skin, shiny hair and smooth legs seems like an impossible feat at times. While a range of different products can easily cost hundreds of dollars, you can use natural oils for multiple different uses within your beauty routine. Whether you want to soothe a breakout right before a big interview or give some life to dry hair, there’s sure to be a natural oil that’s up to the task.

Reduce Fine Lines and Wrinkles
If you’re concerned about showing signs of aging, citrus oils like lemon or grapefruit can minimize their appearance. Lemon in particular can reduce damage from the sun and oxidation, helping to prevent wrinkles in the future.
Rosemary oils also have antioxidants that can preserve the elasticity of your skin and delay fine lines.

Instead of using a typical lotion for skin enrichment, consider applying almond or CBD oil. Almond oil is a good choice for general moisturization as it has many vitamins and nutrients that your skin will love. However CBD oils may be better suited for target issues like eczema or psoriasis, since they have anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce redness and dry skin.

Giving your hair the nutrients that it needs is a hard act to balance—it can look dry and brittle without enough natural oils, but too much could cause your hair to look greasy. Using coconut oil and argan oil can help you control frizzy hair, and nourish your strands from scalp to split ends. Simply apply a small amount all over your hair (whatever feels right for the thickness), and shampoo well at least once a week to remove any excess build-up.

Soothe Acne
For those suffering with acne breakouts, it can be hard to find the right treatment. If you’re looking for something organic, aloe vera and tea tree oils may be your best option. They both decrease inflammation and acne-causing bacteria, just make sure that you aren’t overusing them. These natural oils won’t necessarily cure your acne, but they can help minimize its appearance and refreshen skin when used in conjunction with a suitable face washing routine.

Remove Make-Up
While make-up wipes may come in handy at times, they are actually awful for your skin. They only smear dirt, oil, and make-up rather than actually cleanse your face. Instead of wreaking havoc on your skin, put coconut oil or witch hazel on a cotton pad to assist in make-up removal after a long day. Make sure you still wash your face afterwards (and apply a decent moisturizer) so you can wake up the next day with clean skin.

How to Apply Natural Oils
If you are using essential oils—like lavender, rosemary, or lemon—make sure that you mix them with carrier oils—such as coconut, almond, olive, or jojoba oil—before applying them to your skin. Essential oils are very potent and should be applied sparingly to see how your skin and body react to them.
