Bone broth is a broth made from the bones of different animals. Many people are drinking bone broth to increase their health, lose weight, and cleanse their bodies. Bone Broth Vs. Stock

Bone broth and stock are two very different things. You can make chicken stock in two to four hours. To make stock, you can use the bones and drippings to create the flavor you need. However, bone broth is made by cooking bones for anywhere between 24 to 48 hours. Bone marrow is where the majority of nutrients are stored inside the body. Cooking the bones for a day or two breaks them down and releases the nutrients.

How Bone Broth Can Benefit Your Health:

  • Leaky Gut Syndrome

Bone broth has many health benefits. The first one is that it can heal and seal your gut. Leaky gut syndrome is where toxins aren’t processed in your body properly and they’re actually released into your bloodstream.

Leaky gut syndrome has many side effects including:

Asthma
Allergies
Inflammatory bowel disease
Diabetes
Rheumatoid arthritis
Eczema

Leaky gut syndrome can cause you to have food sensitivities, thyroid problems, inflammatory skin conditions, and mood disorders. Bone broth can heal and seal your gut, naturally healing leaking gut syndrome. Even if you don’t have it, anything that can improve your gut is worth your time.

  • Insomnia

Another health benefit is that it helps insomnia. Glycine is found in high doses inside bone marrow, making it a major ingredient in bone broth. Glycine will regulate your sleep schedule and improve your memory. You don’t have to worry about getting tired right after drinking bone broth. It will help you sleep at a proper hour when night comes.

  • Strong Bones

Bone broth will improve your own bones. Bone marrow is obviously filled with the minerals that make bones strong, so the bone broth is going to fill you full of them/ These include magnesium, phosphorus, and calcium. If you drink bone broth every day, you can feed your bones straight from someone else’s.

  • Energy

Science is still figuring out what benefits in bone broth come from different aspects of it, for one reason or another, it gives you plenty of energy. Although the exact vitamins and minerals in the broth aren’t pinpointed for the energy boost, you can drink your morning cup of broth and experience it yourself.

  • Immune System

Bone broth is a super food when it comes to immune support. It has such a high concentration of minerals, it will strengthen your immune system and keep you safe from all of the nasty illnesses going around. If you don’t want a flu shot and you’re worried about other illnesses there isn’t a vaccine for, the bone broth can naturally protect you from contracting them. The stronger your immune system is, the more likely you are to not get sick. If you do get sick, you’ll fight the illnesses off more quickly.

How to Make Bone Broth

So now you know about this powerful super food, but how do you make it? Bone broth is time-consuming, but it’s easy to make. You can make bone broth from poultry in about 10 to 24 hours, and beef bone broth from 24 to 48 hours. However, the longer the better, so you should do the full 24 or 48 hours to get all of the minerals from the bone marrow. To make bone broth, all you need is beef bones or a chicken carcass, purified water, and apple cider or white vinegar.

Put the bones in a large stockpot or crockpot. Make sure you have a good quality stock pot for the best and healthiest bone broth. You can make a lot of stock out of just a few bones. However, don’t be afraid to load the bones up, because more bones equal better flavor and more nutrients. Add enough filtered water to completely cover the bones, and then add about a tablespoon of vinegar. If you’re only making a small pot, use a teaspoon or even a half of a teaspoon. Cook over low heat for up to 24 hours for chicken and 48 hours for beef. Once it’s finished, strain the broth and then store in an airtight container. You can add carrots, onions, and other vegetables for even more nutrients. This is best if you’re using it as a meal replacement or for soup.

Bone broth is like magic. It has everything you need to be healthy, so you can replace your coffee with it or even replace your meals. Incorporate bone broth into your daily routine and be healthier than ever.
